Does anyone have a source for upper shock mounts? The shocks seem pretty well seized on the pivots and I can envision myself in the near future grinding off the rivets and replacing the entire mount.

i had the same problem with the stock shocks i was trying to remove. It was a lot easier after i cut straight through the middle of the shock and then was able to turn the end back and forth on the mount... soaked it in tranny fluid and pulled it back and forth a bunch of times but they came off eventually.

That was the plan of attack I thought I'd make, though I can't even get the cotter pin out, let alone pull the shock off the mount. I suppose I could drill out the pins...

yeah man thats exactly what i did... sliced off the cotter pins with an angle grinder and cut each shock in 2... then drillled out the holes for new cotter pins. it was the only way

I'm glad someone else's mind is working like mine. Next day its not 15 degrees outside thats what I'll be doing.
