Ok, I cant figure it out. I've got a 54' m38a1 that sits crooked. The drivers side is about 2 inches lower then the passenger side. I got under and measured. Is the drivers side leaf spring weak??? it has 3 brackets holding them together whereas the passenger side has only 2. i'm stumped, i'll take some pics and put them on... but in the meantime any advice?

Could be the hat channel where the body mounts to the frame. That's what was wrong with mine when it leaned.

The brackets your talking about holding them together only keeps the middle springs aligned and prevents them from twisting away from each other. Might be able to try and measure the arch from side to side, to see if the springs are just worn out on that side for some reason. Like said above search for Jeep lean and you'll find tons of information about it.

From past discussions, this is considered normal in that a lot of the time, there is only a driver. Factor that in over the thousands of times it occurs, and you've got Jeep Lean. FWIW, my '57 had it too. New Ranchos solved it, but suspect it's just a matter of time before it happens again.
