    the main reason i was so intent on the 4.3 is because of the painless wiring harness that was available on that motor. i ll have to check to see if they offer one for the 3.8 the flatty doesnt weigh much so i dont thing a little loss of power is that big a deal, espicaly with 5.38's and the sm420
