I can't find this type of pulley in any books. I thought it pressed off, but my buddies at the auto store started drilling a hole ( visible in the picture) in the shaft with the 3 jaw puller. What type of pulley is this and where can I find a new one, because this one is not coming off.

The pulley should come off it is just rusted to gether. the allumin part above the pulley in the pic. is just a fan blade spacer. I would sugest a chisel between the spacer and pulley if you dammage the spacer you should be able to pick one up at flaps.

The 3 jaw puller pulled to the point that it bent the pulley. Not bad, I could probably still use it, but that means the aluminum part must be on there good. That sounds like a great idea tho with the chiesel. Chiesels always save my butt. Any more home brews?

The chiesel worked great. Split it enough to use a flathead then it all came apart. Everything else went smooth! Thanks again!

It had three indents on the side towards the motor from the 3 jaw puller. All three indents came out perfectly with just the clamp of a big set of straight jawed vice grips on each spot. Absolutly the smoothest water pump I've ever done and probably the smoothest jeep project I've done. I definitly see why it wouldn't come off with the puller now. We were squeezing it together like a sandwich.
