fuel gauge

well ii got my new gauges and speedometer form karge today. the only problem is that the gas gauge reads backwards and only moves the needle maybe 1/8 of the scale. it starts out, with the key on, on full with the float all the way down and when i move the float all the way down the gauge drops to about 7/8ths full, so it does move. im figuring the sending unit isnt working right but it does have readings, full and empty. does anyone know the ohm readings of the sending unit, im getting 137-3.2 ohms.

haven't found it yet. i just figured because its a 5 hole and i can get a reading it must be the stock one and be working. i can find the readings for the 65 cj and its way different than mine but the 65 is also 12 volt.

 

come to find out id hooked the ground off the gauge to the sender and the sender wire post to ground, reversed it and it works, thanks for the site and info.
