I needed to replace my SM456 transmission mount, while I had the crossmember off I made a Skid Plate. I even put drain holes in it to replace the fluids. I also had a little problem while building it. I caught my pant leg on fire.

Don't worry! I was fine. Just caught the fibers from the hole in it. (It's not the first time I've done this.)

Just call me Fire Marshall Bill. Ha ha ha ha ha!!

To make the bends I cut half way through the metal with a cut-off wheel and then bent it up and welded the seam.

I don't think I'll have a problem with that. The engine oil pan is fare enough out of the way to ever get hit. (I think.)R)
