I'm going to need to shim my rear axle down to have the same degrees as my transfer case, can I just cut wedges on a power bandsaw? Seems the local shop could do this cheaply.

I have used them a couple times on rigs.
    Here is my .02 cents.
They need to have that hole in the middle to keep them in place.
I have had them walk out before and also had them crack before need to be steel some are aluminum.

You can buy them really cheap, may as well do that. Get steel ones if you can, since the alum. ones have a tendency to crack.

Thanks, I'll have to check local vendors, I'm in Canada and ordering from the US is usually more expensive by the time they get here.

mike suggested steel to me when i was looking. after looking at the almuminum ones when i removed them i solidly agree!
the aluminum ones i removed were actually worn and thinner where the axle was riding on them. the steel ones that were made have been great! (as rick said earlier, don't forget the hole for the pin)
