i have a 1955 M38A1 with the master cylinder under the floor. ive been able to remove the screw on cap with a adjustable wrench but im thinking there must be a special wrench made for this. any one ever come across it or is every one using what ever tool works for them.

I have the same master cyl, I put a reservoir mounted to the fire wall with a hose to the top of the cap on the master cyl, works good. just a idea for you, makes it a lot better to add fluid.

yeah i have the same fitting, plug, in the center of the top of the cap and thought of doing that, i just figured the cap would leak around the seal but its probably worth a try. that would be the best way to fill it and it would let me easily see where my fluid level is.
