    Does it matter which end is front and which is back?
    Doesn't look like there is any difference in the shaft bends and Service Manual says no difference except for spring positioning.
    BUT there is a difference in the hole location at each end - one is closer to the end than the other. Does it matter which end is front and which is back?

    The end with the larger plug goes to the front.

    Yes, the larger plug goes at the front but does it matter which end of the drag link rod the plug goes in to; or, will the large plug only work at one end of the drag link and not the other end ?
