f-134 valve length

    hello,
    i want to buy a valve spring compressor.but i dont know what type.
    whats the length of the intake and exhaust valves?for f-134.

    You'll need two different types for the f-head. Valve length shouldn't matter as long as you get one for an automotive application. You can pick up the "C" type for the head for under $20.. For the exhaust you'll need the one that expands outward as you tighten it as the valves are in the block and you have to push the spring up to release the keepers. Don't forget to block off the oil return/drain holes with a rag if you don't have the block torn all the way down. Nothing worse than the little "clink" sound as one keeper falls down into the guts of the motor:rofl:

    you should be able to use a c type with the exhaust valves if you get one big enough. just did that 2 weeks ago in class and i'll be putting them back in tomarrow. i hope to have pics this time of the reassembly.

    :iagree: I hadn't thought of that as I had the other one already. Was in a lot of ODG tools I bought at auction.

    how big c type for the exhaust?10 inch opening?

    cant remember what it is right now. If you can wait till tomarrow (or sunday)I can measure the one at school and let you know.
    its around 10-12 inches.(and adjustable with a screw)
