Here are some of my Photoshopping ideas for when I get the hardtop back on come Thanksgiving... Currently the top is the old red color as I didn't have time to paint it before school started up in the fall. What do you think of an all black top?

How about the side hood stripe and black diamond plate? I think they make the grey and black theme look good...

I am just not sure about the side diamond plate with the hardtop being black.

This is how the Jeep looks as it stands.

Black always looks good, and if it's a winter-use only top, it might help keep it warmer inside. I think I'd do the inside of the top with white though, for light reflectance.

The 18-26 of November. We charge through the semester without a real break until Thanksgiving. We did have one 3 day weekend though.

My projects always land on the busiest shortest weekends and I am pretty sure it's a conspiracy...

Anyone else think another color or paint scheme would look better for the top?

You can't go wrong with black - easy to paint, easy to fix, great color combo for your jeep.

Another color I like with gray is navy blue, but I don't like blue tops on jeeps.

You've got a really clean, sharp Jeep by the way.

Wow looks great. I would not ruin that body with diamond plate. I use it because my sides have rusted out.

Here's an additional " top " project you might add to your list: I attached an additional windshield rail for the Bikini top to the front of the roll bar so I can have the windshield down and still have shade. Took a modification of the Bikini top but my shoe repair guy re-sewed it where needed. the rail doesnt get in the way of the full top when used and it sure is great to have the shield down and shade at the same time !! I didnt mean to hi-jack your post, just wanted to give you another project idea in case you ran out of things to do R) [IMG][/IMG]

I agree!!!! Do not drill the body for the diamond plate! Some nurf bars attached to he frame would be damn nice!

    Love the top in black!

That is a pretty cool mod Slaghammer! I have yet to get a full cage installed but I will keep that in mind. Right now, my priorities are to finish the hard top and get the Jeep sealed up for the winter weather. I know I have several seals to replace including the worthless cowl seal as well as the pitted glass and rock hard windshield gasket.

    After driving home in this:

Seriously. I wore that. It was in the 30s when I started my 5.5 hour journey home with only a bikini top on the (Jeep) :JEEP:

Well, needless to say I was ready to get the hard top. A week later and I have this:

I am pretty happy with it. Note that Rustoleum Hammered Finish Black is not really black! It is more of a very dark grey.

I also got the twin stick in. Not bad for one quick week's work.
