    well its about that time...

now that my CJ is NOT pulling daily driver duty it will get parked for a while to get ready for next summer...

    on the list
    -winch
    -power brakes
-Tcase gears and twin stick (either a D300 or my D20)
-more tube (protection and add to current roll cage)
    -add 5pt harness to seats
-tear dash out and put new heat hose/defrost duct
    -add rear heater from FJ40
    -dual battery set up

i do have a question i'd like some feedback on...

i have a hydraulic brake booster that i have had issues installing (the push rod will not mate up to my brake pedal) so i am thinking about finding some junkyard brake booster from another CJ. any input???

    thanks in advance :flag:

The power brake set-up from just about any other CJ should work fine. Mike Boyink even added power brakes to his early CJ. I just can't find his write-up (I'm sure he'll chime in).

Got mine out of an old Cherokee. Works great.. dual reservoir, vacuum booster and hanging pedals (minor modification needed).

    It's on my '65 tub.

Good luck! Post if you have any questions... I am able to talk about the conversion that I did (right, wrong or otherwise). But, whatever I did, it seems to work good.

Since the dual reservoir was designed for front discs and rear drums, and I am running drums / drums, I need to install a proportioning valve in the rear brake line. Right now, the rear is getting too much power and sometimes, I do a "big wheel" spin (sometimes when I don't want too:rofl: )

Just a note on the 5 point harness : Make sure to mount them with the correct belt angle ( important to prevent shoulder injury etc ) If you need a dwg, let me know. :)
