Hello, first post. Got bit by Jeep bug again! Just bought two more cj5 parts jeeps. (Rebuild my 3B about 10 years ago) Need info on PTO winch wich came on one of the cj5's. Its a Ramsey Model# MX-200R serial #43991, Pto model# P11-J. How old is this and how /where do I get info on rebuilding it, parts etc. This was in a 56ish cj5 4cyl I'd like to put it in a 66 cj5 with a v6. will I have any problems with this? Thanks.

I've got some info on Ramsey winchs & PTOs on my site with links to parts diagrams. Winch parts are still available from Ramsey, in fact they still build a version of this unit. Pto parts arn't available but the bearings & seals for both the winch & PTO are standard catalog items available at any bearing supply place.

wow, that was quick! thanks that should help I'll have to really look over your info tomarrow. Thats some project you got going there. I took my cj3b down almost that far less splitting body tub etc. I put a 225buic and T18 in mine. I'd love to put this winch on that but I swiched my stearing over so it wont fit I think. Oh well I'll have to start another one. Thanks again! seth

It probably will fit, theres plenty of PTO winchs whith saggy steering on 5s & the frame rails are the same spacing on both. Only thing you may need are some spacers to move the bumper ahead a liitle, IIRC the 3's frame horns are a little shorter than the 5's.
