Welcome from Pittsburgh, PA. When you get a cance, please fill out your profile so we know a little about your rig and where you hail from. Chances are pretty good that we have an ECJ5 member right in your neighborhood!

As for rebuild parts for the Dana 41, I woudl stick with a good jeep parts suplier like Walcks, or Krage. Many parts interchange between the Dana 41 and the Dana 44, with parts for the 44 being far more plentiful. In fact, about the only thing that I know for sure WON'T interchange are the ring & pinion and the carrier itself. Bearings, axle shafts, etc all carry over. For example, I'm running a Lock-Rite locker from a 10-spline Dana 44 in my 41 right now, but I'm planning to swap over a set of 19-spline axle shafts and side gears in the spring.

Take care, and ask away if you run into problems!

    I agree
Krage was able to supply me with all the parts that I needed to rebuild mine.

I would add that if the ring & pinion aren't excessively worn and the pinion doesn't have too much "wiggle" in it, you might be able to spare yourself the hassle of setting up the differential again. Most Dana 41/44's I have seen with excessive backlash at the pinion (rotational slop) are due to worn spider and side gears. If you replace these gears, (or upgrade to a lock-rite locker) most of the slop disappears.
