I am looking for a new seal/gasket that goes between my hood and the top of my grill. I looked around in a few parts catalogs and haven't found much. Where has everyone looked to find one? Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about that cloth strip up on top of the grill?

Maybe I need to take a closer look. I went through their catalog and didn't see anything. Could have missed it though.

That same welting Herm has is the material used in the handle guards where my windshield folds down onto the hood. Mine have the welting inside and a rubber cover. One's broken, anyone know where to find these?

The welting on the hood that Walcks sells uses the push pin (bending tabs) and Herm seems to supply rivets with his. I guess it depends which one you want to use.

Is that gasket/seal called welting then, or is it something different? I couldn't find it on Herms sight. I like the idea of rivets.

It's called welt, and originally was attatched with wire push in clips..

Allows some "give" between the grill and hood, allows the two to fit snugly together, and prevents squeaking? That would be my guess.
