Footwell vents on CJ-5A's????

    Does anybody know if footwell kickout vents by the driver and passengers feet (the kind about 6"wideX9"tall that stick out the side and direct air into the footwell compartment) were optional equipment on 1966 jeeps? The only other jeeps i've seen them on are old postal jeeps, and toyota landcruisers. I know my body tub is original, but since the vent doors are painted black i think they might have been added on later. I'd like to know for restoration purposes

    thats them... previous owner must have installed trucker vents.... thanks for the info guys....
