guys is brake fluid bad for tires?.. like will it deteriorate the rubber?

a couple of the wheel cylinders on my flattie are leaking and it may be a couple weeks before i can get around to rebuilding the brakes (dont worry, im not driving her like that... just concerned about my BFG's)... its leaking down on the tire...

Brake fluid is not bad for tires, in fact, when I have old rubber pieces. like floor plugs, grommets, and the like, that are hard from age, I soak them in used brake fluid for a couple of weeks and they come out flexible again. Now, if what's running onto your tire is rear end oil (from the rear seals leaking) THAT will rot the rubber over time.

Using brake fluid was a very common old school way of armoralling tires. My dad used to do this back in the fifties. Won't hurt the rubber a bit.
