I bought a bell crank so called rebuild kit from JC Whitney (rookie mistake) and the Bellcrank still moves up and down. It worked until turned the wheel a few times and the nut backed off. I did this "rebuild" about a year ago and have just been tightening the nut ever once in a while. (I don't drive it much) If I get a rebuild kit somewhere else what will I get? Should it have a brass bushing for the bellcrank? I think that is where my problem is. And, where should I get it? Oh yea, my bell crank is 7/8" on a 67 cj5 with a V6. Is that normal?

    Thanks

Sounds like you need a new locknut .It should have two torrington bearings .You can also buy a full compliment bearing the difference is it has double the rollers giving you double the bearing surface area so it lasts longer .
