I got my exhaust pretty much all hung. I have to add 2 hangers to the rear to support the last portion of the exhaust. My challenge is, the exhaust is really tucked up. I have about 1/2 - 1 inch from the next to last crossmember, and the "V" brackets going to the center of the rear crossmember. I currently have the standard rubber strap with metal hook on the end to hang it, but it is too long. I am almost looking for a rubber donut to go over the tubing and make some sort of hook to connect it to the frame. I know i have to allow some flex between the frame and exhaust. What have you guys done or used for extremely tight/tucked exhaust to frame?

    Thanks!!

Think outside the box Dan. Most modern exhaust systems have eschewed the L-bracket-and-clamp method for the round-bar-welded-to-the-pipe and a figure-8 setup. Look at any Ricer and you'll see what I mean. ;)

I think I'd look to acquire some 3/8" round bar stock at the local hardware store and some rubber "figure-8" doughnuts at the FLAPS and weld up some mounts that suit your needs. You can even weld the rods onto the BOTTOM of the pipes, and then bend up the matching top part to bolt to the tub/frame as needed. You just need enough finished space to have some gravity working to keep the exhaust in place...

I know what you are saying. i found some pics of that setup on the net, guess i jsut have to run to the store and see what they have. I may have to bend the back pipe slightly to get it off the "v" brackets but i would like to keep it up there, it is perfect ofr me :) I will be starting the beast tomorrow. i cant wait.
