Last year I replaced the springs on my CJ-6. Since then the rear springs have settled a little, as I expected they would. In doing so my Jeep now has that slight sagging look. Not real bad, but I can notice.

Here's my thoughts on some fixes. One is to use add-a-leafs to get the one inch or so to level things out and the other would be to use extended shachles. Both are fairly cheap compaired to whole new springs. Question is, which would you guys recommend? Or is there another solution? Will there be any problem with using one or the other on the rear and not the front?

Anyone have any experience with Tough Country products?

Man I have been through a bunch of shackles in the last 3 months. I have found that, while the front will change steering geometry, the rears had no effect other than the intended increase or decrease in ride height. I think if you would do the add-a-leaf, it would make your rear ride really stiff.

I did both, the ride was really stiff, and the leaf springs even though were for the early cj5, were wider than the stock springs which made fitment issues fun, had to notch the plates to make them work.

Brad, I had the same situation on my CJ5, the Skyjacker softride rears settled after a couple years.
I run ConFerr shackles on the rear, 1 1/4" longer than stock. On the front, I run the ConFerrs that are only 3/8" longer than stock. Turn out this is just right to keep my tub level.

Do the longer rear shackle. AALs will stiffen the ride, shackles won't.
