clutch cable area

    i was checking out that area & and there is another cable that 1 end is atth. to housing & other end seems 2 b a type backup, it isn't atth. 2 anything that i can c. anybody know what this is or does ?

    he might be talking about the engine stay cable ?
    attaches to the bellhousing with threaded stud; ball fits into a bracket on the x member

    Do you have any more info or photos of this thing Jim? I know the bracket you mentioned, but my Jeep didn't have a cable there, IIRC.

    What is this cable and what does it do?
    What years/models is it on?
    Is it necessary?
    Is it available anywhere?
    Does I just GOTS to have one?
