Hello All, I am new to the Jeeping thing. I pickup up my 1976 Jeep CJ5 about a year ago and worked hard all last year getting it ready for summer. I did a lot of things to it, with a lot of help from buddies. I need some help finding a quality rear bumper with a swing away tire rack. I would like it to be able to also carry a gas can and also a trail rack, I would like to have the trail rack removable. There seems to be an extreme difference in price from $1200 to $400. I don’t mind spending the money for quality but hey I like every one else work hard for my money and want to little bit to pay for the gas to go wheeling. Any suggesting on products or fabricators that have worked well for you would be of great help.

    Thanks guys,
The bumper and carrier look great, but the site says that the carrier can't be opened with the trail mate I installed, and the Jr. basket has to be removed if I get those....the thing is I want to be able to put tools and spare parts in the back under a dog board and be able to access through the tailgate, and not have to unload all my stuff to get a what I need. I know I am kinda picky but for that kind of money it is just not quite right.
Any one else have a good suggestion?

Get his bumper and tire carrier and build your own trail rack -- or just call and see if he'll build you one with a flat bottom. He's a smaller operation - he called me while building my bumper and had me take measurements of my frame so he'd be sure it fit.
