jpflat2A: the thread link you posted looks like what I need but unfortunately Old Bill's picture gives me a RED X and then the link no longer works! Is there anyway to get this! Thanks!

Don, send Thad (Old Bill's owner) an email and a PM by clicking on his user name... see if he still has the pics (I know he moved since that post, may not have gotten his pics transferred to a new ISP. He may still have them on his hard disc or other media)

    thanks Sparky
    I knew it was somewhere....
Don, you can thread your broken rod on the ends and install threaded clevis forks as well; you'll have to measure and shorten the rod

Yea, not an easy part to find and I ended up making one and remaking it using those heim joints. They work really good. Depending on which rod you need, I ended up putting a nut on the end of a piece of threaded rod and brazed it into a ball for the clutch fork. I had to file it some to fit thru the fork slot, kinda hackish looking, but it works. If I had the time I'd do the chain link that Thad did. future project for mine.

didn't break until Tuesday so I didn't know I needed it! Maybe I should just start stock piling weak parts!
