I just noticed while checking the oil that the oil filter cannister has a broken mount, on the left side there is a pice of all thread screwed into the block that the filter cannister is bolted to- the allthread is sheared at th block, anyone have a pic of the way the factory mounted the cannister??
Second question is the back exhaust manifold bolt is sheared off, no leak just no bolt. should I just keep an eye out for a leak or undertake the nightmare of removing the exhaust manifold and extracting the sheared off bolt? opinion? (I hate working on the exhaust)
One more question, is there a fan clutch upgrade available for the
F head? I'd like recover some power from the direct drive fan I got now.

Personally I would want to pull the manifold and replace all the bolts but that's just the way I am. If it's not leaking it won't hurt anything to leave it. Keep in mind that if you do pull it there's a good chance some of the other bolts might break off too.

Just another added thought. When you do pull it I would take it to a machine shop and have them throw it on the giant belt sander to resurface it in case it's warped at all. It literally only takes about ten seconds.:)
