    Hey everyone,
Does anyone know if a '48 2A would've come with a glove box? I've got 2 screw holes on my dash spaced enough apart for what looks like a glove box.

No, there was a data plate where you would think a glove box would go on 2A's. Glove boxes would only be an option on military tubs until the CJ5 came along.

Great! Thanks for the pictures. My dash has been a bit molested over the years and I've been trying to correct it!

    Got a few questions though...

What's the difference between the choke and the throttle? Aren't they both hooked up to the same place off the carb?

Is the dash lamp just a light that lights up the floor pan? And it was only on the driver's side?

Also, that governor t-handle, how does that operate the governor? What kind of governor do you have to get in order to get that?

I also noticed 2 buttons on the floor near the gas peddle. The larger one starts the jeep right? What does the smaller dimmer-switch like button do? (On my '57 CJ-5 it just has the dimmer switch to start the jeep--is this the same?)

Hey thanks for putting up with my questions... I know there's kind of a bunch!

    Thanks again,
    Evan

Is the dash lamp just a light that lights up the floor pan? And it was only on the driver's side? (no it lights up enough for you to read the gauges at night)

Also, that governor t-handle, how does that operate the governor? What kind of governor do you have to get in order to get that? (I have a NOVI and you can see the linkage in the picture) http://48cj2a.com/images/Engine_Roadside.JPG

(On my '57 CJ-5 it just has the dimmer switch to start the jeep--is this the same?) (The one high up on the hump is the starter switch, the other on the hump cover upper corner is a heel rest when starting the Jeep)
