After much thought I figured I use the same name I've used for my 79' Diplomat for the past 10+ years. Affectionatly I'll call her "The Beast"
Going on the pretense it's unstopable in the fact that there is UNGODLY low end torque. My Diplomat could blow the doors off any local goofball with a fast car. NOW I'll just be happy to pull their doors off:twisted:

It seems like everyone starts a new thread for a different question, problem or new info on their project. I'm gonna use this thread from now on so I can keep track of everything and also to help save bandwidth for the site.
Here's a few pic's for you guys to look at. Thanks for all the help so far!

    :D Guilty as charged. :D

Thinking Green Beast for yours though Executioner, it seems wrong to use the same name.
Like I'm Bob, this is my brother Bob and my other brother Bob. R)
But hey it your Jeep. ;)

If you're hooked on Beast, how bout using the same letters but rearranged in different order? Bates, Sebat, or Sateb. This honors The Diplomat for years of loyal service and gives your Jeep a new identity. Anyway you choose is worthy of a hearty congrats and a

Can you include a good shot of the latching on the body tub near the windshield for those suicide doors?

That might work for you... but isn't very effective for our other users.
Think about it... you want to know something about wheel bearing on The Beast, for example... you do a search on wheel bearings. You get a list, and you start reading threads THAT HAVE A TITLE THAT LOOKS LIKE IT IS RELAVENT TO YOUR QUESTION.

See where this is headed? It really is best to keep your questions/problems separated, with a good descriptive title. That way all of the posts/responses are relavent. It makes searches more effective for current and future members.
I know when I have a problem and need to search the tech forum for answers or similar problems, I'm not going to take the time to read a multiple-page thread that is a compilation of everything someone did to their rig.

You want to keep a running history of your build, etc? Take a look at myjeepspace.com, that might be an effective venue for that...

    HTH!! :)

Shure Kamel.. and guys good idea,Green beast...But I'm thinking come spring I'll sand down the whole tub and paint it with the chameleon paint kits. I was at a car show/flea market and this one Jeep had that paint and it changed color as you walked around it...VERY COOL!

Damn..Now the name don't work:rofl: The pin stripes are very nicely done..I'm gonna take pic's to keep the artistry for the future, I miight try to redo the pinstriping in red to contrast the dark (almost black) chameleon paint.

Ok, Beast for now, then when I'm done with the tub I'll let the concesus name her. I'll throw out my opinions and basically let you guys name it.
Then have the name painted on her.
Keep in mind I'm a big fan of the rock band KISS! and am also contemplating a paint job with that theme as well.. I got all winter to debate what to do as far as paint schemes and ideas.
so for now "The Beast" will work. As far as luck...I didn't change the oil or oil filter on the Diplomat in the last 8 years and the sucker seems to just get better.

Have you looked at the price of that paint yet? Very expensive.
Also a whole vehical kinda looses the astounding effect of the paint. Actually the coolest use of the chameleon paint I have seen was on a honda. In the raised part of the hood the owner had the honda logo painted but in a color that appeared as you walked up. So from a distance you didn't see the logo. Smaller areas make bigger impressions I have found with it.

    Lizzard Jeep?

Saw a '69ish Mustang once at a show that was a deep gloss black, then he had Mustang in script on the side in a flat black. It looked cool as you had to stand just right to see it.

Names are something I've always had a hard time giving to my own stuff. My dad named my JEEP "Hondo". I figured it was fitting to name it after a John Wayne character since it is rough and tough and won't take $*&# from anything. my .02

Doh! shoulda thought of that for a name:oops: Anyway good point on using the same thread, I just gotta get the feel for how you guys do things here.
I found small kits of the chameleon paint at National Auto for I think around 10 bucks, but their small cans (1 can base coat of flat black,1 can of chameleon, and 1 can or clear top coat. I tested 1 kit on my diplomat's hood and had enough left over to paint my pc's mouse looks cool on the hood. I estimated the whole car would cost around $80.
Since the jeep is smaller (Not the top, it ain't worth it) it would probably be cheaper.
