I pulled off one of my 10 inch rear drums, but I am stuck on the opposing one. I am using the heavy duty universal 3 arm hub puller that everyone here suggested getting. Here's where I need your help. Mainly, I can not get enough pressure on the center piece that provides the counter pressure against the axle end. I guess I am not cranking the lug nuts tight enough because the slide hammer just turns the circle that the threaded bolt goes through at the top of the arms. I feel like I cannot get the lug nuts tighter because the axle spins since the other side is off the ground. The only option I can think of is to complete the brake rebuild on the opposite and drop tire so that it will not spin. Does any of this make sense and I am the only one that has had to deal with this? Any other ideas?:?

Can you put a vise grip on the inner part that is turning to keep it from spinning? CAn you post a pic of what you have?
