Exhaust Manifold 79 cj5

    I noticed a few links regarding exhaust manifolds. I am need of a new one for my 79 cj5 w/258. I noticed quite a few on the web with different prices. Can anyone recommend a retailer on the web that I can order one from that will fit correctly?

    quadratec.com sells them. I'd bet just about any FLAPS could get them.

    What's wrong with the manifold you have? If it's not broken, you can have it surfaced so that it won't leak.

    When I needed a manifold for my truck, I used the manifolds from an '85 CJ. The exhaust for these is much smoother than the early manifolds, and it gets rid of the problematic 4-bolt preheater in the middle. The intake is 2V and aluminum. Works fine, except I had to notch the PS bracket slightly to clear the new exhaust manifold.
