I have the following pic for a LATE cj5... I am looking for the same thing, only for a flatty and an ECJ5... I want to compare the Flatty frame and the ECJ5 frame.

anyone have anything like this? Can you tell I am getting further into a project... I actually have tech questions lately... I will post a pic of what I have going on Thursday :D

I know the 2A was 80" and the CJ5 was 81" I am trying to figure out where that 1" lies and how hard a ECJ5 frame is to put under a flatty... I am going to save my 2A frame for a later restoration.

Thanks, It appears that one is early CJ5... so it also looks like the length is overall 8.73" longer then a 2A... trying to figure out how much frame to hack off maybe....

Most of that length comes in the front, I didn't cut anything there except for the part where it goes larger to rivet to the bumper. You're gonna cut the rear... you got a little leway and I can't remeber but seems like it was 2" or 3" on one the rear spring hangers were flush with the rear crossmember and the rear crossmember stuck out past the body maybe an inch. Used 3" channel iron for rear crossmember it also served well as a bumper. On the other I notched the rear crossmember a bit for the hangers and it was flush with the body. I found the best thing to do, in my case anyway was put body on the frame line up the bolt holes in the front floor board on both sides with the ones on the frame. If you do that IIRC everything except one mount lines up petty good. Even the ones on the body that hang dowk and bolt to the side of the frame. You'll have to fab mounts for the grille but thats not hard. hth

That helps a ton, you don't have any pics of the rear crossmember area though however do you? I am sure when I get it home I will be able to see what is going on, but the chassis cannot be picked up until Tomorrow. I knew they were very close and that is the only reason I bought the chassis. Well that and the drivetrain is already in and located, I dont have to mess with the difficult stuff R)

Unfortunately no pics. But I've done it twice so it's very doable. You'll see when you have them both there. Good Luck:beer:

How about just a pic of the whole jeep? Is it obvious they are on the wrong frame? I am just hoping it doesn't look cobbled when you look at it...
