I must be missing something.

    Correct me if I am wrong.
    On a tapered 44 rear axle,If I remove the bolts holding the brake backing plate the axle shaft and hub should slide out as one unit? Mine will not.
    Probably too tired to be working on this thing ,my brain feels 2 quarts low.....

    BTDT as in the axles should come out OR been so tired that I can hear my eyeballs rotate in their sockets?
