Well my lift showed up today so I sprayed down the shock mount bolts because those are the only ones that I will need. On the first turn the bottom bolt went snap! I really dont want this to happen on the top ones, besides heat is there any other tips you guys may have to offer? The tops dont look any better and I am guessing I would have to remove the whole front end to get new mounts welded on!

Use a nut buster to get the old nut off, then use a thread chaser to clean up the stud.

I would try to tighten the nut first to break the rust, then loosen.

Looks like a heavy duty c-clamp. One end has a flat area to place on the nut, other end has an anvil/chisel point on the screw. Place on the nut, tighten up, really tighten it up,BANG, splits the nut so you can remove it.
