Went down to Napa and told the guys I needed an oil filter for a 1952 CJ3A. "Nope we dont carry it" he says. So I go back home and pull the oil filter out any way. HMMMMM NAPA GOLD 1010 Made in USA right on the side. So I call him back he says "Yeah we have two of those"

I drained the pan and there is still dirty oil sitting in the filter can. Does anybody have any tips for getting the oil out of the cannister? Is something clogged up?

Just borrow your wife's turkey baster.

You can get anything you need here, www.walcks4wd.com but use the phone.

My pick up has the same external filter as jeeps. I found a Fram version in a junk yard off a 50's car that had a drain plug. It works great. I don't know how thick the material is but you may be able to drill and tap it for a plug.

    Nice avator BTW.
