Help! I need to seperate a D20 from the T-15 transmission. How are they connected internally? Do they have a nut like the D18 or do they slip apart after removing the 5 bolts that hold the two cases together? My FSM's are to old to show a D20.

    TIA:beer:

Remove the bolts on he case and they just slide apart. The bull gear on the back of the tranny is inside the t-case. It is a tight fit to get it through the opening but it will come apart.

Just take the bolts out and it'll come apart. Depending on how they were sealed together (The gasket maker stuff bonds them together) it may take a little pressure, but is not connected by anything inside.
