    Anyone tried these?

Will the 34x10.5's fit on a 2.5" lifted 79CJ5 with stock body and shackle? How bad will they rub under full compression of the springs? Why don't they offer a 33 in this tread pattern and price?

    The 33 x 10.5 boggers are $50.00 each higher.

I have looked thru some tire threads but haven't seen much on 34" tires, probably cause they are a bastard size tire.

Anyway, I need max height (not width) tires for a off road only CJ5, 304, with only a 2.5" suspension (used spring) lift.

    Thanks for any info guys.

Yeh Jason Hawkes has a set of those. Never heard anything about the 34 10.5 tires though. I would think they would fit.

I've got them... great tires. Only problem is I scrub in the rear when I flex now. I'm not quite sure what my backsacing is, but I do know my tires stick out just a little bit from the tub. If you could bounce them out a tad I'd have no problems at all with them. Which, really, isn't their fault to begin with.

I've got 3" lift and nothing else just to help out

Jason doesn't the flatty have LTBs on it? :?
I know they had very little flex even with zero air in them.
Maybe just me, but I'd go Boggers. :D

Downside to Boggers is lack of lateral traction, hillsides can be a challenge.

True, but the cool factor. :D
I still like the TSL myself, if they only offered it in 33x10.50x15. :(

I ran 34x9.5x15's on stock leafs/one inch shacle lift. No serious rubbing in the front. My back wheel wells and openings were not stock, you would probly have to open up the rear of the rearwheel wells.

Excellent trailriding tire, I highly recommend them.

running the 31x11.50x15 with about 3" of lift. I have some rubbing on the wheel wells, but that is due to a lack of bump stops on the frame.

Thanks for the info on the tires,I did not realize they were so popular, and they are also cheaper than all the other Super Swampers.

I guess if I get the 34's and they rub more than I can live with I can probably do a small body and or shackle lift to make a little more room.

    Thanks again...

I have 35x14.5 with a 4" SUA lift. They rub in the rear but there is no spacing. Not a lot of fun on wet pavement though.

yes, they'll fit. i run those now on my '75. a little bit of inner fender rubbing, but nothing else. they really are more 33's than 34's. very good traction on rocks, strong sidewalls.

will either buy another set, or switch to the swamper bias 33x9x15.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one running tall skinny tires. I've been thinking about a set of the 34x10.5 LTBs myself. That will probably be my next tire. Good to hear all the comments on here about them.

Thanks for all of the positive replys.

I will know what they are like in a week or so, I just ordered 4 new ones(TirePackage.com). $626.96 with a lifetime warranty (what ever that is worth). Free shipping with $99.00 warranty (would have been $36.00), so my cost was $63.00 or $15.75 per tire.

I am planning a good ride Labor Day, I doubt they will get here in time, I'll just have to run my slicks!

    Thanks guys...
