Well i got to hanging the axle tonight it preperation to welding on the perches. Well to my horror i put the ubolts on and started to measure the distances to center the axle under the frame and i have 10 inches between spring and backing palte on one side and 11 inches on the other side. Real simple, i move the axle over to make the meaurements even.

But since i am using an offset housing now, the passener side perch is now butted up to the pumkin housing, and i cannot do anything more to get it over. So i am looking for those who has waggie offset rears in their jeep and what did you do to remedy this?

I know i can outboard it and make it work, but that is alot of fab work right now

I am thinking bout modifying the perch and put some of it on the housing, but i will have to get a custom ubolt to fit over the housing. I know there is a way to do this, but i want to see what others did, before i make my decision to do alot of fab work.

Here are some pics of my issues. You can see the tape measure is at 10 inchs on the passenger side, and 11 on the driver side. Looking at the picture of the perch. It looks like i can get an Off set RE spring perch and kick it over 1/2 an inch and make it work. I would have to get a wider Ubolt to get around the pumkin, but it looks like i can get away with it.

yea i would say get a bigger u bolt that goes around the axle, when XJ guys do leafs upfront and waggy axles thats what they do, ive seen it done on a bunch of different rigs so i assume its alright, just mightn need to fab up some u bolt plates (is that what there called?)

the ubolt plate should hold, it is really beefy :) Yeah it looks more like that is what i will do, i can hit the bottom of the pumkin with a grinder and notch it for the ubolt to fit a bit better, but i think it will work out. now just need to order a perch

why not just grind on the perch that you have to make it fit?
