Need a little guidance here concerning my brake lights. I have conducted a search, but still need a little help. Just noticed last evening that both brakes lights will not work, all the other lights do, backup, turn signals and taillights. I have cleaned off the connections and brake light switch terminals and didnt work. I have bypassed one switch with a wire loop then the other, no luck. I was doing this in hopes of locating the bad switch and then only have to replace that one. Now, other than replacing both, where do I go now?? Many thanks!! KCJ

Shoot aerosol electrical cleaner into the bulb sockets.

If the turn signals work, it ain't the bulbs or the sockets; or wiring back to them either.
If the brake light switch does work, (check with continuity meter), then I'd look at the turn signal switch. It's one or the other, I bet.

Brake lights go up through thte turn signal switch, so you may want to jumper that out as well to test it. The fact that the TS work and jumping out the brake light switches didn't work tells me that you prolly have an open between the brake light switch and the TS switch
