What im thinking about is i have 2 dana 30's. One is just a housing and brakes but its a 77 which is the large brakes and 6 bolt caliper mount. The other is complete but a 80. I put new ball joints on the 77 but would rather use the 80 since it is all setup. Would the outer knuckles and ball joints from the 77 bolt to the 80? I think it will but would like to make sure. Thanks

Some front ends are reverse cut-- and the punkin runs upside down.

But I think that the gears are the same

nope, the gears are not the same in standard rotation and reverse rotation. hince the name "reverse." they are cut completely different. the reverse cut rotations came in the XJs, MJs, and YJs. (maybe a few ZJs, but don't quote me on this.) the diff is on the oppisite side, among other differences, from the older 30s . been covered before in detail.
