I have a model 30 front axle disc brakes with 3.54 gear ratio, the date on it is 10/4/77, on the gear where the tooth count is,I also have a model 30 front with drums, but I do not know the year. What I would like to do is convert the drums to disc. Can I use the parts from the 77 axle and put them on the axle that has the drums.

    yes.

take everything, knuckle outward, from the disc-equipped axle, and transfer it to the other housing - after removing everthing, knuckle outward, from the drum-equipped housing, of course. hopefully the ball studs in the disc knuckles are still good, so you can avoid changing these. otherwise, it's a straightforward swap.

I assume the drum brake axle has the gears you want? If the gears aren't an issue, why not just use the disc brake axle. Lot less work. :)

1977 disc brakes should have the 6 bolt caliper bracket and thick rotors, in which case you can leave your ball joints alone and only make changes from the spindle out. Easy swap. Consider a 77 master cylinder too.
