Anyone ever use Lab-Metal? It comes in a can like paint and hardens into metal. I've got a few small holes i needed to patch and didn't want to use Bondo. Also, the three push-pull knobs below the speedometer, where can I find replacements, and pics of the originals??

I can post pics from my 75 tomorrow - I would be interested in replacements as well if there is a source.

If the heater controls in this link are what you need, I thought the controls out of early DJ's were the same but just mounted in the dash. The mount for these on the CJ's had that extra mount to them. That may be another option look for some old Dj's being parted or in the yard somewhere. There is a guy in Denver on the Craigslist with a few DJ's as well.

I haven't searched but I would think the newer ones would be different.

IIRC the '72 heater controls (and 70-71?) are different from the 73-75. Pretty sure the 70-72 uses a stamped steel bezel hanging from the bottom of the dash, and the knobs are hard black plastic? The 73-75 use a plastic bezel and the rubbery knobs. Seems like an intact plastic bezel is rare - it always breaks around the cable holes.

These were on a '69 DJ. I thought they were the same as the second picture just mounted different, unless the DJ had transplant controls.

These were the ones I thought he was looking for. They looked the same.
