    Question:

The bolt that has threads on both side that is used to bolt the arm from the lower transfer case on to the skid plate.

The bolt fell out a long time ago, there is no gap between the arm and the skid plate so I replace it with a grade 8 nut and bolt with washers.

Will this really hurt anything by not letting anything flex?

I want flex reduced as much as possible. When I let out all 350Hp the twists is sometime bad and we will not talk about the 250HP NOS shot.

I am also replacing the bushing between the skid plate and transfer case. It is old.

    Thanks.

If there is no gap between your torque arm and your skid plate, then I'd wager that your tranny mount is shot.
I'd recommend that you install a new poly tranny mount, followed by the correct bushings for the torque arm.

Even with proper new mounts, I'd expect you're going to break something in the drive train soon... I think you're exceeding the design limits for HP...
