Figured I needed to correct that a little bit. I've had some bad experiences.

I'd agree with Lynn. Possibly unreliable.

I had two on the TJ. The second one lasted until I traded it off last fall, over 7 years. The first two, stock and replacement, both died from mud intake.

Locally rebuilt often isn't an option...

    Okay, Folks.
Here's the Cat-o-nine tails. I'm ready. I checked on it this weekend and said I'd be willing to buy it if he could get me the title. His response was " I GUESS I could make out a bill of sale" :? FLAG!!!
I decided it wasn't worth it. Sorry. But, on my way home from work today, I happened to glance over and behind a house was one that was pushed up near some weeds. :) I'm going to go check it out tomorrow.

I just want to say Thank You, ALL..... for your patience, advice, encouragement, (tongue-lashing!!Ha!R) ) You have helped a hope-to-be first time owner of a 5 out a lot! You don't know how much it is appreciated. Will let you know how the next search went. Probably under a new thread.

Sounds kinda fishy, but a lot of these old Jeeps are bought and sold without a title. I kinda don't blame you for not getting it. I would, but then again I have someone on the inside and can get a title for just about anything for $45.
