Jeep VIn

    I am looking a purchasing a 1966 cj5. The vin tag as fallen off the fire wall at some time. Looking at the tilte for the jeep, the vin number indicated is teh same number on the engine block. does this sound right? I'm looking at a project for me and my son to start, but not haveinga vin tag and the title having the engine block id is a little different. What do you think?

    The original vin number will be stamped into the frame on the passenger side, roughly right above the shock mounts on both the front and rear. Somewhere around here is an illustration that shows exactly where there at.
