I am starting my rear bumper. I want to do a swing out tire rack to go with it. I have a chunk of 2X4 rectangle stock. Got a couple chunks of 3" angle and some 3/8" X 2" bar stock for mounts. Pictures of my front, I want the back to compliment the front. Pictures of what the back of my jeep looks like right now. I would like to incorperate some form of jerry can rack and a high lift jack mount also. Anyone got pictures or plans for a rear?

Funny you starded this thread, I'm also about to begin construction of my rear and front bumper tonight. But I won't need swing away tire carrier, I don't have a tailgate.

But I could use some ideas also for a jerry-can mount

edit: (after looking at the pic, I see you also don't have a tailgate ...so why the swinging tire carrier, if I may ask??)

Don't want to have to reach over or around a tire to get into the back. I run 35's right now and that is really hard to get around to get in and out of the back. I did consider a fold down, but I am not so sure I could lift it back up once I folded it down.

Thanks for the links Panzar. That is pretty close to what I have in mind. I like the hub and plan to do the same with mine. Once upon a time I had a spare spindle, hub and lock out set aside for that.... I like the idea of spares.
