I am new to the group and have been very impressed with how friendly and sincere you folks are. I'm near the begining of rebuilding my CJ-5 and thought sharing my experience with you. Some of the old timers may get a kick out of it and some of the folks that are new to the sport may learn something.

Included with each entry is the cost. Now I know some of us don't want to think about the cost, it's like asking a fisherman how much per pound his fish cost after he factors in the boat and other equipment, but it's here as a reality check. I just hope my wife doesn't read this.

I interpret your machine work including engine as being done by you? Good original purchase price on the Jeep. I've kept all my receipts too. I'd rather be able to show where the money went.

    Glenn,

Due to the specialized machines necessary for the engine rebuild, I had a local shop do that, otherwise all the other machining and fabrication was done by me. I'm a machinist by trade.
