I'm back again... I've got this '77 with power disk front and 10 inch rear drums. Can anyone tell me if this is the right valve for this setup. The new master cylinder is bench bled but I get no fluid to the rear line. The manuals I have show a tool to bleed the brakes but I can't see where you could slip the thing in if I had one. The fronts are working well and I got the power assist working as well:) Thanks

I just helped a friend bleed his after replacing the calipers. The Factory Service Manual shows that valve for a 77-78 CJ, the tool you have is for a fullsize jeep truck or wagoneer. The FSM tells you to remove the brake switch from the top of your proportioning valve, that allows the shuttle vavle to shift and allow fluid to the rear brakes. Careful the switch is plastic and is easy to crossthread back into the valve when done. Hope that helps.

Yes that's just what I was looking for. Thanks. Only thing bothering me now is I just pulled my 77 parts jeep out of the weeds to look under it and the valve looks identical but it has four wheel manual drums. Guess I'll have to be careful checking the brakes out once I get them done. Thought I was going to use the rears as is but after pulling the rear drums I discovered there was nothing in there!
