Two sizes of Water Pumps on the V6

    As I was comparing the engine in my Jeep, a 231 odd fire with the 225 engine in the corner of my garage I noticed that the water pump on the 225
    is about 3/4" to 1" shorter than the one on the 231. I'm planning on switching to the shorter one to pick up some clearance between the fan and the radiator. I'm assuming they will match up. Anyone know about this? Thanks.

    Oh, BTW the 231 has a 3 groove pulley, the 225 has a 2 groove pulley.
