    Greetings,

Restoring a 1959 CJ5 back to original condition.

Can anyone tell me the exact pathway and attaching points to run my transmission brake cable from the T handle as it comes through the (Drivers side) reading right upper firewall to the drum lever?

Also, how is the return spring mechanism set up? Where and how does it attach to the frame?

    Thanks for any help,

    Pete

Mine is run from the instrument panel, by the left leg through a hole just down and to the left of the heater core. From there, I just ran it back until it fits, kinda. After that, I'm no help as mine has been modified with a V-6, dual master cylinder, brake lines. My spring is attached to the frame cross member just at the rear axle. The clamp is attached to the transmission mount crossmember. The big thing I guess is keeping it out of the way of the pedals when operated. I'm still working on 46 years of PO work. It has to come out again anyway, the cable is in bad shape, and the handle is broken.
    Good luck!:)
