1990 V6 3.8 Fi

    Is the intake, fuel injection system, and exhaust manifolds, from a 1990 GM 3.8L V6 front wheel driver, compatible with the 225 V6. Could I use those items to fuel inject a 225? I can get the items for next to nothing, mostly my time. Could they be made to work?

    In a word, from what I recall, no. I can't offer any more specifics at to why.

    Hansh- take a look in the archives at pennocks fiero forum- I'm not a home or I would send you the links- I've played quite a bit with this engine family (for my fiero) and there's a tremendous amount of knowledge and some great links there as they favor this engine family for swaps- specifically I think forum user Darthfiero would know the answer, or suggest an alternative. If you have any trouble finding this info on there pM me and I'll dig up some stuff next week while I'm at the house-

    In all the time I spent over at Pennock's I never saw fuel injecting a 225 mentioned. :?

    We've discussed it here in this forum before, specifically this application and why FWD 3800s aren't suitable for FI donors for 225s. If they were there'd be ALOT more FI 225s. ;)

    This was simply a suggestion of an alternative place to look that may not have been an obvious choice...I was making a generalization about this engine family...not specifically one engine. THere is a great wealth of info there in this regard and a very friendly community that shares their information without regard to its final use. You never know what you might turn up :)

    Yeah, you're right. I used to have a Fiero and spent lots of time there. Just didn't seem like a RWD 231 or moreso a 225 would be a topic of discussion but someone there might know something. :)
