What year gas tank..

    I'm gonna order a skid plate for my gas tank. How can I tell what year tank I have? I've pulled the tank out once to replace the sending unit, so I know what it looks like. Just don't know what "year" it is.

    I think they are all the same. might have to re-drill a few holes.

    I presume this is a tank under the rear floor? If so, 71-72 has external vapor recovery lines, 73-75 uses brackets to support the front of the tank, and 76-on is supported by the skid plate.
