I decided to add a power booster to my 70 commando, I could not find one for my year and model so I used one from a commanche so year not sure. Well after several holes shortening the bar from 8inchs to 3.5. This is where I am at still working on it.

Does any one have a better way? Can someone tell me the length of there bar that goes from the break pedal into the booster or post some pics. Its to late for me but a good how to would be nice for the forum:)

I don't have any info on what you have there, but a mid 70's Ford Thunderbird brake booster is almost as close to a jeepster one as you can get, and they're still in the junkyards.

I bought a power booster for my Commando at PepBoys auto parts. I had them look up a 69 CJ but it is the same booster. I think it was around 100.00. May want to check with them.

Not sure my 67 has the power booster from the factory but the 67 halfcab I just bought does not. I have a spare booster mount somewhere in my junk. I will check it out this weekend if I get time and see. For some reason I think the top holes line up with the maunal master cylinder holes already in the firewall but I am not sure. Converting to a more redily avaiable booster would be better for future replacement but since mine was already set up I elected to just replace the booster.
